How do I make a video louder?

Upload the video, drag the volume slider above 100% (150% is a good starting point for a quiet recording), and download the result. The picture is copied untouched when its format allows, and only the sound is changed.
Can I boost an MP3's volume with this?

Yes. Drop in an MP3 (or WAV, M4A, OGG, or FLAC), raise the slider, and download a louder file in the same format. You can go up to 300% of the original level.
Will boosting the volume cause distortion?

It can. Boosting multiplies the signal, and a recording that is already near its loudest point will clip (crackle) when pushed higher. If the result sounds harsh, try a lower setting. Quiet recordings, such as phone videos and voice memos, usually take a 150% to 200% boost cleanly.
Can I lower the volume or mute a file?
