Either works. The camera option captures a photo directly in your browser, which is faster if the document is in front of you. Upload works just as well for a photo you already have, or on a device/browser without camera access.
Can I scan a multi-page document?

Yes. After correcting one page, click 'Add another page' to capture or upload the next one. Reorder pages with the arrow buttons before generating your PDF — every page becomes one page in a single combined PDF.
Are my photos uploaded to a server?

No. The camera capture, corner detection, perspective correction, and PDF assembly all run entirely in your browser using the Canvas API and pdf-lib. Your photos never leave your device.
How does the corner detection and correction work?

When you take or upload a photo, the tool scans for the sharpest edges near each side of the image to guess where your document's 4 corners are. You can drag any corner to fix the guess, then the tool applies a real perspective-correction warp — the same math a dedicated scanning app uses — to flatten the document into a clean, rectangular page.
What format is the output?

A standard PDF, with each corrected page embedded as a JPEG at its own natural size — no page-size picker to configure, it just matches what you scanned. Compatible with every PDF reader.
Does this work on my phone?

Yes — the camera path is built for mobile, using your phone's rear camera by default. Corner handles have large touch targets so they're easy to drag with a finger, not just a mouse.
Will the output look as sharp as a real scanner?

It won't match a dedicated flatbed scanner's resolution, but perspective correction removes the skew and keystone distortion a handheld photo has, so the result reads as a flat, rectangular page rather than a photo of a document at an angle. Output quality depends on your camera and lighting.
Does generating the PDF take a while for a lot of pages?
