Supports .txt and .log files

Everything you need to convert text to PDF

100% private, nothing uploaded

Your text is read and turned into a PDF inside your browser. It is never sent to a server.

Line breaks and spacing kept

Blank lines, paragraph breaks and leading indents appear in the PDF as they do in the .txt file.

Real, selectable text

The PDF holds live text, not a picture of it, so you can search it, copy from it and read it with a screen reader.

UTF-8 aware

Accented Latin characters are read correctly. Anything the PDF fonts cannot show is flagged, not silently dropped.

Wraps long lines

Lines wider than the page wrap onto the next line so nothing runs off the edge.

Standard A4 PDF

A normal PDF that opens in any reader, browser or printer.

Frequently asked questions

Is this text to PDF converter free?

+

Yes. It is free, with no account, no sign-up and no watermark on the PDF. The output is capped at 300 pages, which is roughly 15,000 lines of text.

Is my text file uploaded to a server?

+

No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser, so your file never leaves your device.

Are line breaks and spacing kept?

+

Yes. Every line break, blank line and leading indent in the .txt file is kept. The text is set in a standard sans-serif font, so tables drawn with spaces may not line up the way they do in a monospaced editor.

What happens to lines that are longer than the page?

+

They wrap onto the next line instead of running off the page, so no text is cut off.

Does it handle accents and non-English text?

+

Files are read as UTF-8, so accented Latin letters such as é, ñ and ü come through correctly. Characters outside the PDF's built-in fonts, such as emoji, Chinese or Arabic, are replaced with a question mark and the page tells you when that happens.

Can I convert other plain-text files, like .log or .md?

+

.log files convert directly. For other plain-text files like .md, rename the file to .txt first and it converts the same way. For a spreadsheet-style file use the CSV to PDF converter, which draws a table instead.
